Democracy in Latin America
Bayesian Statistics, Causal Inference with Observational Data
I am an early career researcher currently studying Methodology & Statistics (M.Sc.) at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Prior to that, I obtained a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Bremen, Germany. In early 2016, I resided at the Latin American Social Science Institute (FLACSO) in Ecuador as a visiting researcher.
My current work focuses on political participation, political trust, and the interrelations among these concepts using Latin American survey data and quantitative methods. More broadly, I am interested in political behavior, political culture and democratic development with a regional focus on Latin America. Methodically, I am fascinated by topics in Bayesian statistics and causal inference with observational data. On this site you’ll find my current working papers and replication files, blog entries, teaching materials, and CV.
